For me any Patek is a piece of Art..Even a dive watch like this Aquanaut has to be pampered..

    Default Aquanaut

Indeed, I am sure the fishes will be impressed when they see someone diving with it

Default Pineapple grenade..I never thoiught of it that way...lol.. It kind of does.. lol :)

The dial does look like a Pineapple grenade.
I inquired to Patek service in NYC about the texture of the dial years ago. They told me it was designed to stop glare and distortion underwater. I guess the rubber strap was designed to match the dial as well. So in reality Patek did expect it's owners to dive with it.

Now I have a hankering for a pineapple dessert..

    Default 5167/1a-001

I like the Aquanauts, and have been contemplating getting a 5167/1A-001.

Wish they had even higher water resistance though. My Omega Planet Ocean is graded for 600m, while the aquanaut is only 120m.

Default I agree the Aquanauts need a higher water resistance..

the clear case back makes it limited and causes serious water pressure issues when diving..

I don't consider it a dive watch, no rotating bezel. I would call it a sports watch. JMHO

I was about to post the same thing. Sports watch, not dive watch. Unless you consider the deep end of the pool at Bushwood "diving". Stunning looking either way.

Pineapple? Hmmm, interesting.... To me it looks
a bit like a section of the globe, it is IMO better
(more gently) executed in the recent more modern
    version of Aquanauts.
I would not use it for diving, but if I had it . I'd use
it for sure while swimming & snorkeling.

Looks more like a hand-grenade to me.. Pull out the crown & watch out! Movement parts fly everywhere!!!!

STUNNING watch.. Would I dive with that watch? I'd absolutely dive with it, so send it on down to me Aurthur. I'll be happy to take it diving with me next month. I'll even take pictures of it..
