hello Alain & welcome to the PP forum.

If you ever purchase a Patek watch I suggest you do it because you really like the
watch for what it is and not for 'investment purposes'.

Just FYI,.....discussing watch purchases as an 'investment' is somewhat frown
    upon amongst true watch collectors.

I am treacherous if I buy a PP for maybe reasell if the futur....
You never own a Patek, you just hold it for the next generation, Ho I understand now.
And If I buy the watch, (not gift from my father or grandfather ect...) I am ok, for reasell?

For better or for worse, in sickness and in health, do you Alain take Patek to be your wife...

    With kindest of regards

    Alain,

without going into too much speculation I will try to understand your post from a different perspective.
These 'Patek as an investment' questions pop up often on various forums and often times they could be
misunderstood (especially when they come from first time Patek buyers). Perhaps that is the same case here.

Frequently what posters have in mind is not what "Return on Investment" they would get
by purchasing a certain watch, but the concern is 'which watch would depreciate the least
if some unforeseen situation came up (health, job etc.) that would force one to sell the watch.

"IF" that's what you were asking - I would suggest #1: 5960P brand new in box for $53,000

    Best regards....

    HI,

There are many as to be investing in money,Investing in share market is another investment option to get more returns. But share market investment is volatile to market conditions. Before investing you should have a thorough knowledge about its operation..

    Thank you....

    Hello Alain,

I your post and realize spending 50k on a watch is a lot of Jack. I don't think it is unreasonable to expect your 50k investment to retain a decent amount of its value. I think the way your phrased the question was just a bit off. I agree with Milos. The 5960P is a great Patek that can easily be a daily wearer and its limited enough that it should retain its value at the price you suggested. As for investing in watch for investment purposes only I would really suggest to anyone DO NOT DO IT!!! The only way to really get rich investing in watches is to get really luck or spend a small fortune that most likely would have had greater investment potential in other areas anyway.
