I would like to use the bezel on my new 8926 for timing. Yesterday I managed to put a blister on my thumb trying to turn it. Later, it loosened up. Now it is hard to turn again. I am wondering if there are any tricks to loosening up the bezel?

Is it a coin edge bezel or scalloped? I have a scalloped bezel and it is almost impossible to turn. It's a little easier if I use all my fingers and put pressure straight down on the bezel instead of squeezing it from the sides.
its not a coin, so I guess its scalloped. I honestly didn't realize I had a choice before I ordered it. After washing my hands its a little easier to operate. Yes, I guess it would have been smarter to buy a coin one. I didn''t realize.
I have a coin bezel and it's just as hard on my 4469. Some people say to wash it with soap and water. Some people say turn it around a few times and it should get smoother. I even read that one person greased it with some kind of oil. Personally, I haven't tried any. I am still waiting for the one master trick with a proven record, if it exists.
I do have several scalloped bezels and have not had that problem with any of them. I have one, if anything turns too easy!If it is brand new and under warranty, you may want to return it for repairs as it should not be that way.

I agree with Charlie. I don't have that problem on my 8928 - or with the bezels on any of my Invictas. You probably should send it back or for repair.
I've had good luck with new/tight bezels using a few drops of WD-40 or silicone spray between the case and bezel. I then turn the bezel several times until it's loosened up. I then use compressed air between the bezel and crystal to blow out any excess lubricant and finally I spray the watch with Windex and and wipe it down good to remove any residual lubricant.
I had a new loaner 8926 before I bought my keeper. After two weeks of wear, attempted and actual rotation, and a blister the bezel started working fine all the time.
