Default Is invicta a good brand?

Hi, I'm new to the forum, and not very savvy about what a good watch is. I'm thinking about buying a new watch and have run across some invictas online. I like this one:

Are these good watches for the price? Is invicta a good brand or should I look at other makers for watches in this price range? Thanks for your help.

Those Venoms are SWEET!! I've been wanting one so bad. They have such a bold design, there really aren't any other watch brands out there that can touch this kind of design in the price range.

The only thing to be aware of, is that this is a huge ass watch. I've got a 5654, which is 49mm in diameter and 17.5mm thick, and it's almost too big for me. The Venoms are even bigger.

The Venoms are monstrously big. For me, it's a put off. If you like the size, go for it.

i can't speak from experience but as far as looks go its hard to beat invicta...i like the corduba leon and the russian divers....but if you google "problems with invicta" i am sure you will find lots of people who are so disappointed in them...and lots of people who will say invicta is the best watch they have ever had...

Sorry no non-sponsor links in your posts Diverdown71, But I will post the picture of the watch you ended up with in this post.

First I will say welcome to the Original Invicta Forum and WTF, and I hope you have a great experience here learning from other members and enriching your watch addiction! :D

I think that Invicta's Reserve collection are an great value, but the Customer Service is, to say the least, unreliable. I think that their watches 95% of the time are wonderful, but the company itself is where the brand suffers. But I am sure you will enjoy the watch (You picked a great model!) and I hope you post some pictures of the watch when you get it!

Default Sorry Mr Ross, thanks for letting me know.

Does anyone happen to know how easy(or hard) it is to size the bracelet on this watch? My watches have always had straps. Thank you.

All of my watches from invicta thus far have used pushpins in the bracelet, it's a simple matter of a structural staple or flooring nail and a leatherman tool.

I find that their big watches look great...in a lightbox or on the table; it's when you put those bad larries on your wrist that things go south (for me anyway), but I subscribe to the Swedish design philosophy of understatement.

The Venom bracelet uses the pin and collar
system and not the simple friction pins, it can
be a little tricky...take your time and make sure
    not to loose the collars.

Note: do not try and remove the ones closest to the clasp!
If you need more assistance, i will try to post a link w/directions.
