    Caveat Emptor!! Buyer beware!!
It is the buyers responsibility to proceeed as he/she sees fit.
As far as feedback is concerned all problems claimed by buyers against sellers are not always true and vice versa.
Buying on forums or from any online vendor are a risk and it is the responsibility of the buyer to determine whether to take the chance or not.

For me ,before I buy from a forum sales corner, I make up my own mind as to my confidence level.
No one is bending my arm and if I get burnt ( and I only did once on the 'bay) I chalk it uo to experience.
    I blamed me!!

    I love AD's!!

I voted yes because you can never have enough information. However, having many referrals & previous transactions you can trace does not necessarily mean the next deal won't go south. I've made some great buys and some not-so-great buys (well, they were great buys for the seller) on the internet. Pictures can be doctored, reflections or lighting can be used to hide flaws. You roll the dice every time.
Can you help me fix my watch?..Where does this: go inside this?: I guess that's what I get for buying it on eBay!!!

I'd like to know who I am dealing with, not a life story, but something to provide some level of confidence. In any event, foggy's advice is sound, the buyer has a responsibility.

    Perfect......

If I have learned anything in life it's this; all is well until you involve money.
Nice guys, good guys, funny guys, etc. it all changes. Find good people and stick with them.
Everything is ruled by money, religion, politics....why should our little practice of collecting watches be different?
