Unhappy Invicta 3410 Tungsten diver stopped working...

    Hey gang,
My favorite watch, my Invicta 3410 Tungsten Pro Diver took a dive this weekend. I went to give it a few turns and when I unscrewed the crown, it would not let me wind it. And it won't let me screw the crown back down now either. I noticed that the weight mechanism will not swing either.
Has this happened to anyone before with their auto? I'm hoping this can be fixed. I bought the watch on April 12, 2007 so I am a little past the 1 year warranty. Should I send it back to Invicta for repair or would I be ok with a local watch guy?
    Your thoughts?
    Thanks
    Christopher

The stem on my 3294 recently broke and it won't properly pull out to the two positions. I haven't called customer service yet, but I will let you know my experience once I do.

I guess I should contact the Invicta customer service first and see what they say.

If this watch came from ShopNBC, you should have received the upgraded 5 year warranty that reqiures you register it with Invicta within 30 days of purchase. If it's still in warranty, Invicta should repair it. If not, take it to a watchmaker in your area.

Does that model have the Selitta SW200 movement?

I did not get it from ShopNBC...I wish I would have known about the warranty with them. I got it from Eddie with My Watchworld through a recommendation here. I'm not sure about the movement on the watch.
There is a pretty nice European watch repair shop here where I had the watch sized, so I may have to take it over there.
