Default If you were new to Omega, what would be your first choice of watch?

I'm thinking that unless you were particularly sold on the history of space travel you'd probably not go for the Speedmaster Professional. My reckoning is that you'd be more interested in an automatic and a diver. Complications beyond a date window would probably not be high on your agenda.

I think your choices would narrow down to the 2254.50 or a Bond 300M SMP if you were going mechanical.

Would you agree pals and what would you choose?

I was new to Omega until about a month ago, went with the 2254.50 and two weeks later followed it up with the Speedmaster Reduced. My favorite of the two is the SMP.

    Well Zin,

My first Omega was a Speedy Pro Moon Watch, so can I still say this one?

It's amazing how many people I have encountered whose only Omega is a Moon Watch.

After that I would say the PO. If offers everything you would need in a watch at a reasonable (subjective, of course) price. And newbies may be aware of it through the latest Bond film.

Only got my first 6 months ago and went for the Bond Chrono, I liked the 300M Bond but fell in love with the look of the Chrono.
It has hardly left my wrist since.

Only 2 so far Zin, but definately on the lookout for number 3 (Still thinking a Speedy would fit nicely into the collection)

For me it would be an SMP. I've always gone for dive style watches ever since I was about 13 or 14, maybe younger. I'd also opt for the James Bond one as I'm such a Bond fan.

Oh hang on a second. I did

    Mr Ferguson

You capture very well, the essence of the 2531.80.
