    Default Manual or Auto Speedy?

I'm sure this question has been asked a thousand times so, sorry for the repetition. I am now officially bitten. So, I have a PO Big, which I really like, but of course it starts with one. I must have a Speedmaster. Certainly that is one of the many classic Omega?

I'm not sure about the manual wind. I've not had a manual wind watch. How is it? Specifically; how often do you have to wind? Clearly, you can't put in on a winder. So, does it need to be wound and worn a certain amount?

Any thoughts on; If I can only add one Speedy, which it should be?

    Thanks.

You don't have to wind it every day. Just wind it and set it before you wear it. Without a date it's a simple task which many people actually like. No worries if it sits for a couple weeks.
Can you help me fix my watch?..Where does this: go inside this?: I guess that's what I get for buying it on eBay!!!

Thanks. Good to know that sitting, not running is not problematic.

If you want to go for just 1, I would say go for the Speedy Pro, manual of course. Manual winding is no problem, I have 7 manual winds, out of which 4 are wound up nearly everyday, it just takes 10-25 seconds to fully wind up one. However, if you don't intend to wear it very often, then as ULF said, a full wind once every 2 weeks or even once a month will be fine.
    Hope I helped

I bought my Speedy exactly for this purpose as I don't get much of a chance to wear it.

    Cheers

Thanks Aaron. This was my concern, but I'm confident it's going to work out well.

I have an old O&W which is auto, but I rarely wear it and do not have it on a winder. I periodically wind it by hand. I'd say once a month or so. Not sure what prompts me to do it, but I do seem to be fairly consistent.

[QUOTE=Shearer;424019]Thanks Aaron. This was my concern, but I'm confident it's going to work out well.

Based on the knowledgable assurances from this forum and particularly my keen sense of history, I ordered today a NIB, 3570.50.00 from an AD. I expect it later this week. I also ordered a leather band and deployant clasp at the same time and saved on that combination.

    Thanks guys.
