    Default Omage vintage watch value?

I have an omega watch someone gave me as a gift in 1986, it is an omega watch. I still have the original paperwork that came with it for warranty purposes. The watch doesn't work since I never replaced the battery or wore it, the watch is in mint condition. I found what appears to be the same watch on omegawatch's vintage website and its listed from 6k-8k price range. I took it to a jewler and he said its not real gold? (I don't trust 1 opinion) so I'm asking you guys. I took a few pictures of front and back. If someone could help me find the value of this watch it would be appreciated, thanks.

Somewhere on the back, clasp, or between the lugs (the two arms where the bracelet attaches to the case) it should say 14K (.585) or 18K (.750) if it is solid gold. It may say GF, Gold Filled, Gold Plated, or Plaque if it isn't solid gold. I don't see any indication of either in your pictures, and if that's a stainless steel caseback instead of gold then the jeweler may have given you correct information.
Can you help me fix my watch?..Where does this: go inside this?: I guess that's what I get for buying it on eBay!!!

I wouldn't say it's worthless! It's still a very nice watch in great condition.

You're right, I'll keep it for sentimental values since I can't wear it (my wrist is too big) and it doesnt work (battery was replaced in it today and still didnt work). And since I can't get 1000$ for it I'll just keep it in memory of the event why I got it.
