Sapphire Case Backs for Spinnaker and Gennaker

Here are some shots of the sapphire case backs for the Spinnaker and Gennaker. The thick sapphire (required to maintain 200m WR) really shows off the beauty of the Spinnaker and Gennaker's movement.

Unfortunately, after receiving them they don't have enough clearance for the Movement's rotor and have to be re-made. That's one drawback of having parts made from different places, but does allow us the innovation of having the best parts available! For those of you who have ordered the sapphire case back, you will receive free shipping both ways for the installation. Does the SMC movement have a larger rotor? the caseback looks the same as the Genoa for the most part...

Yea that would be the problem, they are just like the Genoas. The SMC is thicker all around and it is much more robust. It's about 1.5mm thicker including the rotor. So we have to remake then.

Wow those look better than I thought they would. When do you think the new ones will be in? The movement does look hot, that is a good contrast with the brass and silver for a unique look over my other watches for sure. Picking up my wallet!

Hey Adrian, The sapphires should be ready in a few weeks. The movements do look great and brass is not a usual color in this price range so it adds a lot of appeal. But of course, many have a hard time not choosing the solid case back either with it's design.
