    Default New M33 charging "glow"

Well i got this wonderful M33 I really like it.. but last night i was a little suprised at the duration of time the watch glowed... it seemed to fade quickly... I am wearing it today and i've been out in the bright sunlight alot with it. I am excited to see how it glows tonight... my question is do you intentionally charge these via a light source or just wear and not worry bout it.? Thanks, Adam

I like the glow so I will charge my Lum-Tec with a UV Blacklight once or twice a night for about 45 sec and it lasts for several hours. The Phantom crystal will automatically cost you 20% of the lume due to the tint.

I find that the skeleton hands of my M33 are fading significantly more quickly than the indexes, which is understandable --see Ray's post in thread M33 - A Quick Presentation (Pics Heavy).
However, with a good charge (let's say a day spend in the sunlight or leaving the watch under a light for a few minutes), the whole watch will show enough glow for the entire night to allow for the time to be easily read.

    Default Just my experience

I used a regular flashlight for a few weeks and it didn't compare as to when I came in from a sunny day. I read here on the forums about using a black uv light. 30 seconds is all it takes. You can see the lume "Bloom" for lack of a better term. Search eBay. I found 2 small black led uv flashlights shipped for less than $10. They work great.

I find that my Lum-Tec glow quite brightly at first, do an initial fade then stay at that level for quite a few hours. Of course the LT "lower" level is still brighter than most of my other watches!!

Indeed, it would not be an exaggeration to describe the history of the computer industry for the past decade as a massive effort to keep up with Apple.

I will have a full video review of this watch in a few days. Have been wearing this model for two weeks now so keep an eye out for it.

    Default charging with different lights...

Ive been using a few different lights... I've used some LED flashlights and incandescent ones im going to try a UV light if i can find one... but all weekend i've been out in the sun its been crystal clear skies here in east tennessee and I figured they would glow bright all night... but the hands are not visible after 30 minutes in darkness... I really like the watch other wise...

The Lum-Tec luminescent material's glow is tied to the amount. Subsequently, large numbers made without pigment (ie. white numerals) are going to shine the brightest. Smaller numbers, less. Same goes for pigmented numerals.

The M33 was specifically made with little lume to conform with the stealth idea. It is proving to be very popular.
