Ok I'm hoping some other submissions will make me feel better. Today was a beautiful fall like day in Southern Ontario, sunny but cool, so I decided to wax my pickup.
While applying the wax I realized I had my watch on, I didn't want to get wax on it so I took it off and placed it on the hood of the truck (why I don't know) while rubbing the wax off the truck by hand the slight back and forth motion caused my watch to slide off the hood and land face down on the cement driveway...needless to say the PVD got scratched up and even the crystal didn't escape unscathed, I have only had my A8 for about 6 weeks, I could just scream (in fact I did) how **** stupid could I be!

I hope Chris has more PVD cases for the Bull.

My wife said I looked like a lost a friend.

Any other bone head stories out there??

I can completely understand your aggravation. A new watch or anything for that matter you want to keep perfect for ever. But the sad news is that it will eventually become scratched and come to a point when you don't care anymore if it is. Just look at it this way, if you wear a shinny clean baseball uniform everyone knows you suck. The same with a watch, if its a PVD model, which is chosen for work related professionals not pencil pushing wimps, it just shows you really are that tough guy with that tough watch

    What Tic-Tok says...

But... If I were you and my watch still was that new I would want a new case, or have the PVD redone for it too.

I would feel as bad about it as you did, that's for sure.

(Psst... maybe change to a Rose Gold case? You have an excuse now.)

    Cheers,

A couple of weeks back we went over to my mother in-laws neighbors house for a few drinks. The neighbor built a new brick wall around his driveway. As we're walking back to my mother in-law's house I walked a little to close to that new wall down the steps and wouldn't you know it....that f'in wall scratched my B2!! I felt it hit and instantly knew it scratched the PVD.

2.5yrs ago I was pedaling downhill when I went flying off my bike. My arms, knees and shins scrapped to hell and the B1 strap ripped off and I saw it bouncing off the dirt road a few times. Watch was fine. I, not as much. Looked like I'd robbed a mummy for a week

I made the mistake of wearing my combat B2 while moving the past few days. Arms wrapped around storage containers and boxes. Inevitably, it happened. My new phantom hit something. Have my first imperfection, a pin prick sized area on the crystal. (AR scratch)
Kinda sucks when your cherry turns sour. I'll get used to it:-(

Man! This thread is making me cringe! But, scratches and the like are bound to happen when you wear and enjoy your watches...I do remember the first of many marks my C1 received...as was mentioned, you just kind of get over it and keep getting satisfaction from wearing it!

Not wear very often, just keep it in my watch case.

FYI: if you damaged the bezel on a C series we have a TON of PVD bezels sitting around. We can easily swap a new one in for a low cost if needed. We converted alot to polished bezels with our mod parts. We have polished bezels and crowns available as well as PVD for the C series.

Chris, I can't think of another watchmaker that can/does offer that to their customers. Simply outstanding! :)
