Default Resco Patriot connection to LUM-TEC?

I came across this new watch company. It was interesting to note that they have worked with Chris and will be using the MDV technology and the Slava movements.

Just saw that! They are using our luminous materials. The Lum-Tec MDV™technology is a trademarked process which only applies to LUM-TEC watches so i sent them an email. The owner is a really cool guy and also a navy seal. The watches should be great!

I'll send you my invoice in the mail Chris!.....HAHA.

I'm suprised they opted to use the Slava movements considering the servicing you have had to do to these particular movements. I agree that the Patriot series is very clean and simple in design. I like the watch face and design of the case. It almost has hints of the Lum-Tec 500M design in the bezel.

Cool - I'm happy to see Robert got this off the ground. I did the website 3D visualizations for him. That prototype photo looks awesome.

What prototype photo? I've been waiting for some indication of a "real watch" but until I can see a photo it's all vaporware. Cool models, but are they for real?

I emailed the contact on the website and was immediately contacted back. He seems like a real stand up guy that really believes in his product. It looks like it is going to be a winner.

I just wonder about the Slava movement based on the service history Chris has had with the watches.

All the problems I've read about this movement have been with the quick-set date function. I've also seen this first-hand as I'm one of the idiots that accidentally screwed up my M-16 and needed Chris to fix it. Many other watches with quick-set dates appear to have similar issues. Other than the date, the Slava has been great. My M-16 is incredibly accurate. The only problem is its too easy to hit the quick-set pusher accidentally, and if you do that at the wrong time you could have a problem. The Patriot does not appear to have a date window or quick-set pusher, so that would solve that potential problem.

I was one of the idiots too To me it would have made more sense to have the quickset only function when the crown is pulled out; but that is an issue with the movement, not with Lum-Tec. I am really happy with the watch and its robustness otherwise, and it is not hard to make sure that when I set the watch I make sure that it is not near 12.

Indeed, it would not be an exaggeration to describe the history of the computer industry for the past decade as a massive effort to keep up with Apple.
