Cool 2010 pricing and pre-order info

We will open pre-ordering as soon as we launch our all new website. To pre-order, a 35% deposit will be required and you will receive a 15% pre-order discount coupon code. The final 50% payment will be due upon completion of your new watch. We expect to launch our all new interactive website in early March.

Well I guess decision time is around the corner. I would guess the deposits will prevent people from squatting on models they don't fully intend to order. What happened to the big dive watch? Is that going to be a 2011 model?

Correct! We had too many people we never heard from when the watches were ready and it caused us to hold their watches too long, making the people behind them have to wait longer too! WIth a deposit required, this should not be a problem and should greatly speed up delivery! The 1000M diver will be a 2011 model. We are waiting for the new 9015 movement to be released to use on those.

I have to say that the pricing is great and it's nice to see the 15% discount. As you said Chris, the 500M pricing is really good considering that it's an automatic movement and the B's are really priced well. Looking forward to the M33!

    Default pricing clarification

I'm confused with what you described for pre ordering...

    A watch that costs $595 will cost $595*0.85 = $505.75 total (15% off)

Pre ordering deposit will be 35% of the original price: $595*0.35 = $208.75

We then pay the remaining 50% of the total: $595*0.5 = $297.50

If you add these numbers up you get $506.25 which is not the stated 15% off.

Are you just going to have us pay the remaining balance instead of 50%?

I realize I'm thinking way too hard on this.

This is my understanding of pre-ordering 2010 models. Using the example of a $595 watch, I would pay 35% down ($208.25). When the watch is ready to ship I will be given a 15% discount off of the $595 price ($89.25) leaving a balance due of $297.50.

Is my understanding correct? Cheers, Bill P.

Easy once you know the order. The only problem I think the OP was having was when various percentages were applied and to what balance.

Indeed, it would not be an exaggeration to describe the history of the computer industry for the past decade as a massive effort to keep up with Apple.

No, his mistake was figuring the 35% discount at $208.75 when it is actually $208.25. That was the source of the $.50 price difference which was troubling him.
