I've managed to gather a couple dozen watches over the past quarter. Quite a few were wrist ready after minor major cosmetics and minor surgery. I bought a few derelicts and an old WWII watchmakers rate manual that got me through my first couple tear down, clean and lubricates. Now I'm on graduating to my Hamiltons. I started out looking at anything with a 980 or 982 and somehow wandered in to the world of the 987A/F/S. I am starring at three 987's that I have gone through head to toe, and am stuck at balance assemblies. I am not tooled up or ready to learn how to replace a balance staff, still get my but kicked trying to manage hair springs, and would love to be able to source balance assemblies to plug in to these beautiful movements.

Any suggestions? I under bid a ten pack on our favorite auction site and am not inclined to pay $40.00 each for singles. Balance assemblies for the 982 appear to be flat out nonobtanium...
