Hi, no need to say sorry, we r all still learning also
I am not really having a problem per se'. I was just always under the impression that the GMT hand could be set to any time zone you want. However, the articles that I have read all say the same thing; set the GMT hand to your current time zone and the hour hand as well. I am new to owning a GMT so I was just curious on the proper way to use the function.
What kinda of problem are you having with setting the gmt. It depends on the movement if it's like the older Rolex gmt there's no quick setting if it's like the new ones pull the crown out to the first position and it should go. You should always set up the hands to midnight and let the date change then you know what time of the day you're at ,after that set the gmt to wherevr you want but know the calendar will follow the gmt hand not the hour hand. If it was infront of me I could set it in seconds hard to explain. Hope that helps Rik
