Same old story! Newbie wants inherited watch identified! c1948

Hi!

Been lurking for a few weeks while my dads old watch went for repair. It's been fixed and cleaned and is running beautifully!

Question is, can any of you Longines experts help me identify it?

It's from 1948(?) S/N 7535098. 12.68N movement.(17 jewels). 9 carat Gold. Pictures attached should help. Thing is, I have failed to find any other Longines watch with this face and hands. Sure, I've seen the red XII before, but not like this?

I will be putting it on the market once I know more about it.

Will be putting this on the market in a day or two and would've much appreciated any interesting comments on it. It could be a pretty bog standard Longines, or it might be very rare. Anybody out there who can help?

Oh well, sorry to see that no one on the forum can enlighten me about this watch. I've taken the plunge and popped it onto eBay anyway. Reasonably low (?) starting price.. Fingers crossed!
