    My Watchbox

    Default Vintage Longines/Wittnuar?

I'm hoping someone can help identify this watch, the year of manufacture, model and perhaps its value. It was left to me by an uncle and is much nicer than these photos show. Inside the back cover is engraved (if it can't be read): Longines Wittnaur Watch Co. Inc, New York, Geneva, Montreal, 10k gold filled, 9763945
    Thanks for the help!

Welcome! The serial number dates it to 1955. The dial appears to have been refinished somewhere along the line, which might impede identification but you can try looking through here: Vintage Watches - Collect...Identify...Discuss

As far as value, gold filled models aren't bringing that much right now. I'd say it's sentimental value outweighs any monetary value since it was your uncle's watch.
Can you help me fix my watch?..Where does this: go inside this?: I guess that's what I get for buying it on eBay!!!
