    Default Longines Swissair Exclusive

Does anyone have any info on the Longines Swissair Exclusive series, that were sold only on trans-Atlantic Swissair flights between 1990(?) and 2001?
Through the years I collected what I believe to be all 5 watches in these series (#5 was sold when Swissair went bankcrupt).
Anyway. I am considering selling the whole set of 5 watches and would like to have as much info before auctioning them.
    Thanks

I don't know anything about them at all, but would love to hear more! Do you have some pictures you could share? Especially good ones of the dial and the back and the movement as well if you can. Then people will be able to tell you about the watch itself even if they can't help with the Swissair side of their collectability.

Indeed, it would not be an exaggeration to describe the history of the computer industry for the past decade as a massive effort to keep up with Apple.

I'll try to post images that I have, see how it works. If the images are not good enough, I'll try to take some newer ones.

I've copied them into the thread for others to have a look. Some of them look similar to some current models, but I don't have time right now to look through. I will later when I get a chance.

Wow, taiber59! Nice bit of history there! It will be interesting to see what you decide to do with them. If you do decide to auction them at some point, do you intend to do it as a set; or individually?

If individually, I sure hope you wait till the end of January (hint...hint)...

My gut feeling is to keep the whole set for a few more years, and then (maybe...) to auction the full set.
It is indeed some history, as you pointed.

Actually, I agree with you on that. I think it would be a good idea to keep them.

I think I must have one of the last in the series, it was bought on 23/08/2002and its serial number is 1448, I have the original leather case and booklets, its been in a security box and is pristine condition, I love the aesthetics of this watch and wear it on special occasions, can anyone tell me how many were made?
