I still have my one and only Alpha, thanks to Max. Can I say that? Max is not one of our sponsors!
Why he would sell such a great watch is beyond my comprehension. It's a keeper for sure!

OK, one complaint; if I'm not wearing my reading glasses, I have no idea what time it is. I think that's why Max sold it!

    four BPS would be 28,800. I don't think anyone is running any higher than that... (4 X 60 X 60 X 2)

The new co-axial runs at 25,200 which is 3.5 BPS...

    Three BPS would be 21,600.

Rolex, pre- co-ax Omega, and Eta all run at 28,800 (except Speedy, which I think is 21,600), as do many of the Japanese automatics (and a few Russian). Some Japanese and Russian run at 21,600.

Do correct me if I'm wrong on these anyone...
Anybody know what time it is?

Hey Jim, how come you can make your avatar animate and most of us can't? Did you slip somebody a $20?

    :)
    Mr Jim,

math is not my strong suit at all but here is what I always assumed....

    21,600 per hour X 24 = 518,400 /86,400 secs per day = 6 beats per second?

    and the high beat...

    28,800 per hour X 24 = 691,200 /86,400 secs per day = 8 beats per second?

in the picture with a one second exposure you can almost count 6 individual beats ( well KW and Wautersjr can) and actually I have no idea what BPH movement the Chineese had designed the Alpha's at..

now please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm terrible at math

thanks Mr Jim, what do you think?
