Default Help - Citizen World Perpetual SMT non functional on cb0020-50e ????

I am seriously considering a Citizen World Perpetual CB0020-50E. I understand this has an H144 caliber movement. While reading the online PDF user's manual, I see the following statement on page 24 :

    Movement caliber H144
When the watch receives a time signal, the Daylight Saving Time setting is
automatically updated. The time signal update overrides any manual settings that
may have been made. If you live in an area that does not observe Daylight Saving
Time, you may need to use alternate city for correcting the time. See pages 10 to 13.

I live in Arizona, and we do not go to Daylight Savings Time. If I am interpreting the user's manual correctly, setting SMT to "no" will NOT disable DST when the watch performs an automatic time signal sync, and I will have the incorrect time following the time sync (assuming I have selected Denver as my home time zone). I would have to manually select LA as my home time zone at the beginning of DST and change it back to Denver at the end of DST.

    Comments please.

Have I interpreted the instructions correctly ? If so, the SMT function on this particular watch is useless.

    Thanks

    Default May 25 Update

I had the opportunity to test this function yesterday.

Selected Denver as my home city, set SMT to NO, and then initiated a manual time sync. When the time sync occurred, time advanced one hour AND SMT was set to YES.

So, for those in Arizona ( or other non DST zones ), one must manually select a different home city at the beginning and end of DST if they want the correct time.

How dumb to provide an SMT function that is automatically over ridden by the time sync.
