    Default Ouyawei for $18

Anyone else take the plunge on the 'bay? I ordered this a few weeks ago and it arrived today.. No pics yet, but it is a blue dialed 6 hand watch with moonphase and day/date.

I am stunned at how much watch I got for 18 bucks shipped. Absolutely stunned. I was in a jewelry store comparing to other new models since I am mostly vintage, and was amazed by how this looks next to a Citizen or even Omega. I mean, it obviously falls short, but it makes you start to wonder.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

I would love one of those, which site do you order from? I love the look of the Submariner. Thanks

OK, here's my $14.99 Sub homage. It is pure junk but fun junk. I can't get the date to set, it appears that I can't get the plastic off of the bezel insert and it took me an hour of frustration to adjust the bracelet, which is the worst part of the watch but, oddly enough, it seems to run very accurately.

To answer the question, just look for Soki watch on ebay but, if you are looking for more quality, you can buy a lot better one for a little more money.

Yep, bought one of the $18 auto winds last Fall and gave it to my son. The weight isn't heavy enough to reliably keep the watch wound but it does run well.

Look at the finish quality on Stauer watches. They compare very favorably to much more expensive watches. The Chinese 27J mvt. Stauer now uses is decent, too. The ability to accurately regulate their watches isn't the greatest but they run well.

You know, I get more compliments from this $18 hunk of junk. Makes me laugh. I also amazed a few employees at a jewelry store with it.

Last night, it fell out of my pocket (hot tub mistake!) and hit concrete. The back popped off, but the watch kept right on ticking. Rough finished movement inside, but I snapped the cover back on, and it lives another day.

I assume your Ouyawei also has the "DST" section between 10 and 1 with various offsets in degrees from noon? Does anyone know what these are for and how to use them? Thanks.
