    Default Seiko Boutique - Toronto

Happened to walk by the Seiko Boutique this evening and stopped in for a view. It was very near closing time but the gracious host invited me to take a few shots. I only had my P&S but fired off a few frames of some beautiful Seiko's. Hope I did them justice ......

They have now heard of WTF!

Nice photos Steele. It looks like there's a decent selection offered there. I am in Singapore right now, I'll see if I get some time to take some shots of the Seikos over here too.

Walking into a watch store is like a kid in a candy store.

For a defacto Rolex owner, any of those GS are a chunk of change..

Appreciated seeing your thread here Steele!

Many nice examples of GS cusine there to feast upon, and would surely give the Roley a run for it's money I bet. (I looked at a Sea dweller for 3 hrs last night, there awesome)

    Thanks & nice pics mate,
    Jimmy

very nice photos and very nice of you to post this for us. I was in a small jeweler yesterday, one of only a handful in my home State of Florida who are authorized to carry the Ananta line, and was again disappointed at how a watch of this caliber is being marketed. They were tucked away in a corner in an average looking display and the sales staff didn't know squat about them. In both stores I have visited I have experienced the same thing. The sales staff didn't even know the names of the different models, (not model numbers or performance data, just the name!!). At least for the time being, Seiko high end watches are going to have to sell themselves in the US. I am hopeful that over time we will start seeing some of these type of boutiques full of GS and Anantas, along side the full line of sport and dive watches in all price ranges. I'm not complaining (well maybe a little) I just see this as a fantastic product line capable of competing with the best from Europe, but the marketing strategy is curiously lacking in my view. Like I said in an earlier post, I should be careful what I ask for as right now they are a great secret. I think in the meantime, I will take a hard look at pulling the trigger on one of the more modestly priced diving watches, like the OM. I know we are big Seiko fans here, any thoughts on Seiko's new marketing strategy not only in the US, but worldwide?

I kind of prefer it that way. So not too much demand for it and we can get a better discount on the Anantas. The Ananta SRQ003 is calling my name now.
