Default New Strap for Orange Monster

So I have collected a couple of new straps for my OM this past week.

One is an Orange Rubber Strap and the other is a black/orange leather deal.

Both of the straps are 20mm, but the OM springbars seem to be a different size.

    Are they 21mm or 22mm?

The Monster watches have a 20mm lug size and use fat springbars. Generally people say that you should only use straps and bracelets designed for the fat springbars, but others have had success in using aftermarket straps. You may need to stretch out the springbar "hole" in the strap. Using normal springbars is not advisable. they may work short term, but the extra wiggle room allows for extra wear in the lug holes with bad long term consequences.

Here is a success pic I found using Google:

I think my issue has been trying to use different springbars. I picked up some 20mm springbars online, and they seemed too short.

I can use the original ones with the new strap I guess.

I had the same problem. I think it's to do with holes on the lugs being too wide or something. I bet the orange rubber strap looks cool.

    Success!

I used the original spring bars and it worked like a charm.

Too bad I bought a strap that is just a tad small for my thick wrist.

Keep an eye on the Sales Forum for a hot deal on a "used for 5 minutes" black w/orange accents Rally Strap.

Ended up putting the whole watch (straps and all) on the Sales Forum.

I really like the Monster, just not getting enough wrist time, and it is too cool of a watch to have just sitting.

And I am still in the OM club. Might be too cool of a watch to have just sitting, but it is also to cool to let someone else wear :) .

Maybe a Black or Yellow Monster now too....

Man, I've been trying to get my hands on ayellow or blue monster myself. But they're really hard to come by (add to that they're expensive). I think I saw a BM in Bangkok. I wish I had inquired :( But my gf wouldn't have me 'waste time' looking at watches, while we're on vacation
