    and WHY?

I recently sold my Rolex Submariner. I bought it last year and BARELY ever wore it. So... I've got my Portuguese Auto.(stainless), and my Portuguese Perpetual (rose gold).... I'm thinking... Aquatimer Chrono-Auto Galapagos Edition?? What would YOU get?

Happy 2010 Everyone!! May this year be awesome and SUPER PROSPEROUS for EVERYONE!!

    Who's buying?

If it's me, more than likely a Portuguese Automatic in rose gold or FA Jones in platinum. In fact some day I will add one of those to the collection.

If you're buying (Thanks by the way! ), then it would probably still be a Portuguese, but the perpetual calendar 5022 in rose gold. I usually don't like subdial calendars, but I do like the Portuguese..

I'd have to go with the Portuguese 7-Day Automatic, such a classic, simple look

I wouldn't mind getting an Ingenieur just like the one in the masthead at the top of the forum.

Unfortunately, that one is no longer in production. It is my favorite watch by the way.

As for a watch that I would choose: Portuguese Perpetual 5021 in rose gold and black dial. The one with the double moon phase display. I did read somewhere that this one will go out of production too

See the interview with Kurt Klaus

    Kind regards,

Yes indeed, the Mission Earth model. It does look nice but it's too big. It comes on a rubber strap and it doesn't fit well on my wrist. The steel bracelet is an option and I think it would fit better but I am perfectly happy with my 3227-01.

I sincerely hope that the trend for ever larger watches will come to an end.

In a bit over a week, we will see what new watches IWC presents for SIHH. I already heard rumors that the Portuguese Perpetual 5022 will grow from from 42 to 44 mm

    Kind regards,

    Cinq
