    Default Vintage Glashutte Tutima

Hi guys, just picked this beauty up, it had been in a drawer for the past twenty years. Missing sweep second hand and I think the other hands are wrong, anyone know where I can find replacement nos ones for it. Thanks

Boy, that sounds like it will be a touch task to track down NOS hands for the watch. Have you contacted Tutima?

    Default Amazing vintage flieger!

Is it WWII era? If so, it is very valuable and needs to be carefully restored. Nice to see such a great piece of history. http://general.watchprosite.com/?sho...post&ti=496641

I agree, my first take was it was WWII era, after seeing your link I am almost sure of it. I would contact Tutima and see what they can do.

Thanks guys, I am still waiting to here back from Tutima and I have been firing off requests to various vintage watch companys world wide.
Tutima do do a modern version of this watch and I am thinking maybe I could use a set of their hands as they do look right for it, might just have to "age" them a bit first though. Would prefer original vintage but I think I have more chance of wining the lotterie than finding a nice set those ;)

Any news on this? I'm selling a very early Glashutte Tutima and would be happy to share information, pics, etc.

BTW ... anyone know why the German Military Watch Forum at germanwatch.proboards.com is no longer following through on new registrations? I've been trying to post on there for a month with no success. Viewing forums and registration is ok but I can't get my registration followed through. Sorry if this is off-topic but obviously this forum and that one serve similar interests.

    TIA for any help offered.

    Hi All.
This is my very first time / new member to this forum.
I have joined after finding this blog on the Glashutte watch, I too have acquired a Vintage glasutte watch, the one i have have has a pointer as the marker on the bezel, It is number 2016!!! off the production line on the history i have read and expert advice taken!!
The watch was given to me by a very old man who aquired it during WW11 in Sicily, he traded it off an italian prisoner who aquired it from a dead german pilot so the story goes!!!!!
I too needed a repair, IE the winding crown, i phoned a company in the Isle of wight in UK, It has cost me £570 for the repair service and overall and is due back within the next few weeks, I have got some photo's of the watch prior to it being sent for repair, i shall post them when a get some spare time as i'm sure some of you out there is as interested in these fine watches as i have found myself, i did think i was some type of watch nut until i found this site where i'm very glad to see there are loads of us who spend hours studying watches and reading books.

I hope to log back on shortly with some "not fantastic photo's" but they do show this as a fine vintage watch which in time will be restored back to it former glory.

    See you all very soon?
