Default Your favorite chrono or power reserve for under $1K

Pretty much what the title says!

    Requirements: sapphire crystal
Prefetences: auto, kinetic, solar, or manual wind
Kind of prefer: leather deployant (although I always thought it was deployment...)

All opinions welcome, and non-kinetic, non-solar quartz aren't ruled out, but I have 2 quartz chronos already.

    Thank you for your input.

Silly mistake to sell this one:

They made a slightly different dial with a large bold 12 that's even cooler.

Can you help me fix my watch?..Where does this: go inside this?: I guess that's what I get for buying it on eBay!!!

I remember when you sold that one, and I remember thinking how nice it is. I don't remember if it's auto or manual (or both) though.
    Thanks!

Bulova Accutron Gemini 26C01 Valjoux Cal. 7750
These still turn up in new or slightly loved condition for about half of your 1K. Other versions of the Gemini with Roman numerals and/or black dials are also to be had for under that amount.

How about the Orient Star Classic (power reserve)?

$488, it comes with a bracelet but you can always fit aftermarket leather.

I almost couldn't believe there's under 1K watch with power reserve indicator .. but that orient is certainly very very nice
