Looks like a Sky Chief (or was it Sky King?). Check here for a more definitive ID:

    Hi

The symbol on the movement and caliber indicate a date of 1930. The case and dial look very much like the 1930 Gladiator. It is a very nice watch.

I thought Sky King was a children's Saturday morning TV show in the late 50's.

In case nobody answered yet, it's a man's watch.

Women's watches of the era were a lot smaller, and indeed continued to get smaller for some time, to the point where the movements were about the size of a dime!

Nice piece! I like the Bulovas of the 30s - they are just so completely evocative of the era.
