Default I'm tired of lurking...time to introduce myself

I've been doing lots of reading and drooling here, but this is my first post. Let me introduce myself. Some of you may know me from other Forums. I'm an addict for 12 years. I can't control myself. I can't go out in public without leering at people's wrists. I make snap judgements about strangers on the street or in meetings based on nothing more than their wrist candy. I live watches, I dream watches and if you happen to get me in a conversation about watches, it may go on for weeks.

OK, so I'm just like you!

At last count, about 300 watches have past through my door in those 12 years. Some have stayed for a long time, some are gone in a day. I can't seem to get my heart (nor my head) into Rolexes or Pateks. I appreciate (and even, own) lots of vintage pieces, but my heart (and my wrist) loves big contemporary watches -- Panerai, IWC, Roger Dubuis, Blancpain, Jaquet Droz and Alain Silberstein.

My bookshelves are lined with books, catalogues and ephemera. The shelves of my closets are full of watch boxes. If you look up WIS (Watch Idiot Savant) in the dictionary, I'm sure my picture is there.

    And I'm very happy

May the Gods of Horology Bless You,

    Larry

PS: And here's my "watch" dog, Babette

The greatest watch is the one that is "inbound."

Hi Larry, nice introduction! Babette is an organic watch winder, model K9 (in black). Runs on treats & scratches, not AC. Love the look on her face - as if she's thinking "oh no, not again".
Can you help me fix my watch?..Where does this: go inside this?: I guess that's what I get for buying it on eBay!!!
