Default My newest addition-Vostok Europe N1 Rocket

So today is my birthday. I can’t actually say my age out loud so let’s just say I turned 35 for the 5th time….and I’m not too happy about it! My wife helped bring me out of my depression by buying me this awesome Vostok Europe watch….the N1 Rocket. Here are the specs:

    • Decorated automatic 2426 Vostok Russian watch movement with blue parts and 24-hours hand
    • 24-hours counter disc
    • 31 jewels
    • Shock-resistance balance
    • Dual Time function
    • Central second hand, date calendar
    • All stainless steel 42 mm case
    • 10 ATM water resistance
    • Special screw crown
    • Super Luminova indexes on the dial and hands
    • Turning bezel with 24-hours counter
    • 31-hours automatic winding
Screw-in transparent back cover with engraved serial number

It’s my first Russian and I absolutely love it…love the all black look…love the history behind the name and the aerospace background…love how smooth it’s running. Feels cool and different…a perfect addition to my collection. I definitely am going to get a different band…either black rubber or leather with white stitching…or maybe even one with white AND red stitching…what do you guys think?(feel free to recommend a site or any brand I should check out) Anyway here are the pics:

Thanks for checking this out guys.

First - that's a cool watch. Just enough red to make it pop.

Second - you turned 35 for the 6th time.
Can you help me fix my watch?..Where does this: go inside this?: I guess that's what I get for buying it on eBay!!!

Happy Birthday and way cool addition. That 12-sided bezel is different and I'm REALLY liking it!

Indeed, it would not be an exaggeration to describe the history of the computer industry for the past decade as a massive effort to keep up with Apple.

I have toyed with getting an N1 for some time - glad to see that someone just did it! Happy Birthday! The 40s aren't so bad...the new 30 you know.
