Default I Need Some Help from the Historians about this Watch

This watch was given to a friend of mine by King Ibn Saud II of Saudi Arabia in 1955 after he flew a US Air Force fighter jet demonstration in Dhahran. I would appreciate any information on this type of watch.

    Exterior of Case

    Wider view of opened watch.

    Presentation case.

    The watch is gold filled.

It has an ETA 850 movement.

Markings: K.B. 171, 20 Micron rolled gold, warranted, Swiss made.

Thanks for any help with history.

These 'Saudi' watches are becoming very collectable. I have a Rolex wrist watch with same idea.

At a recent auction at Patrizzi a collection by famous collector Davide Blei sold for $3.7m
    NOW
Within that about 1/4 of them belonged to a sub section of Sheiks/Governments of Arab Countries (these were wrist watches)

Now I doubt King Ibn Saud II of Saudi Arabia went to citizen or Nigeria (for a copy watch)
So we must presume it was manufactured by a good/famous Swiss Manufacturer.

I suggest you write (or take the watch) to a big auction house like Patrizzi/Bonheims or Antiquarium.

They can do all the investigation, then value the watch.
It has a lovely porcelain dial with sunken sub seconds

Sorry I can not add more.

    STOP PRESS
Can you post a picture of the KB or describe it, I think I tracked that down!!

    I think it 'may' be:

    Thanks to everyone, especially Gladiator.

I will contact my friend and ask him to bring the watch the next time we get together and I will get a shot of the markings.

Here is a link to Christies which had the wristwatch version of this pocket watch. The watch at Christies is from the 60's and shows an older king--not sure if it is the same king or from the same family.
