Default Purchasing a New Watch: How Often

    Hi Guys,

I am looking to get a new watch in a few months. My obsession is on over drive. I want to get it now but I don't have the funds.

How often do you guys pick up new watches? I got a new one last week, but now I want to get another one. I do not think I can stop. I have a problem!!
From Gadgets to Cell Phones to Oakleys to Watches I think I need a less expensive hobby!!

I used to buy a new watch almost once a month. I've slowed down mostly for financial reasons. OCD can be very costly. Good luck to you.

When you're skipping lunch to put the money towards watches, then it's time to stop. Don't worry, we've all been where you are now. Sooner or later you'll get a little patience, especially if you buy a few watches on impulse that fall out of favor quickly. You'll realize how much you spent, and that those funds could have been conglomerated into one really nice watch.
Can you help me fix my watch?..Where does this: go inside this?: I guess that's what I get for buying it on eBay!!!

I've bought 9 since March but will be slowing down a lot next year! No more for this year (yeah yeah I hear you say), and maybe 3 on the cards for next year.

Indeed, it would not be an exaggeration to describe the history of the computer industry for the past decade as a massive effort to keep up with Apple.

I WAS going to buy one nice one (Breitling SuperOcean), but seem to be drawn to buying multiple nice ones (Invicta Pro Diver, Ingersoll, Stuhrling, etc.).

Still want to lay my hands on a Breitling, but until the right deal presents itself, the money will be invested elsewhere...

The only real advice I can offer is the advice given in this thread is spot on - there tends to be a natural ebb & flow of the desire to purchase watches. When it ramps up, you'll find yourself buying more. When it ebbs, you'll slow on buying and enjoy what you have.

I recently bought a whole mess of watch repair tools so I can move into buying & swapping watch straps, thus creating a more diverse group of wearing options with the current stock.

Like gambling, however, know when to say whoa! Set a budget and stick to it - other areas of life should not suffer for your hobby. ;) (Been there, done that, not fun... who'd have thought Jeeps could get expensive when driven offroad...LOL ;) )

    Actualy,none genuine so far.
I have one Tissot PRS 200 from my brother-and Omega Seamaster,a gift from my patients father.
I bought a Citizen 2 years ago,and I gave it to my cousin.
Also bought and gifted aTissot PRS 516 to my best friend for his wedding.
When I will buy,it`s gonna be something big and valuable

    Better something cheaper,but genuine,than a replica

    This year I've purchased three.

I'll pick up a Mudman or Riseman before the end of the year, but other than those two...no more on the radar at present

You better have some of your own pictures! After all, it's almost as much fun sharing your purchase as it is receiving it.
