Zenith is another 1.5'er, right there with GO, JLC, and UN. Just because I know it will come up sooner or later I'd also put Blancpain in the 1.5 category.

    Hmmmmmm........

If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep the streets even as Michelangelo painted or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, 'Here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.' Martin Luther King

Absolutely! They get their very own. After all, if you were a brand name would you want to be in the same tier as them?

Only reason I say anything is this; I own a seiko, citizen and invicta. My citizen is a Blue Angels edition Skyhawk. I treasure that watch above ANYTHING Invicta makes...my 2 cents...

with the suggested edits I must say that it is actually a very good list
between what shimside & Thwizzit put together !!

IMO there could be also a "Tier zero" with some AHCI privateers that make very small limited productions
such as F.P.Journe, Philippe Dufour, Antoine Preziuso, Vincent Calabrese, Kari Voutilainen, Vianney Halter, etc.

'any' of these watchmakers make watches that are better finished and overall better executed
than any of those mentioned in Tier 1.
However these are not mass-produced watches .....If we are talking about those, the above list is very good.
