Default Could someone provide more information about BERMI watch

    Hello !

I own a BERMI watch, which belonged to my Grandfather. I would like to get more informations about this brand or the model, if anyone could help me identify it.

The watch has written on the frontside:
    Bermi
    15 Rubin or Is Rubin

    On the backside:
    Fond Acier
    10131

I provide 3 images to see how it looks like (click on the link, please):

    http://69.94.121.125/~yang/dsc02493.jpg
    http://69.94.121.125/~yang/dsc02496.jpg

The most I could find about this watch on google is the company address:

    Category: Clock- and watchmaking
    1 Rue Du Dome 67000 Strasbourg - FRANCE , Tel: +33 3 88 32 91 28 - Fax: +33 3 88 32 91 28

    SWITZERLAND
    BERMI WATCH SA

    6834 Morbio Inferiore - SWITZERLAND , Tel: +41 91683 18 25 - Fax: +41 91683 68 47

I will be glad about any provided information,
    Thank you !

    Hi Jan - welcome!

15 Rubin (or rubis) stands for the 15 jewels in the movement. Fond Acier Inoxydable means stainless steel. It looks like a typical watch from the 50's or 60's. I'm not familiar with the brand but there were thousands of different watch companies back then. If it's form your grandfather it's has far more sentimental worth than monetary value.

A little tip for better close-ups: turn off the flash and turn on the macro (the button with the flower) function.
Can you help me fix my watch?..Where does this: go inside this?: I guess that's what I get for buying it on eBay!!!

    Hello ulackfocus,

Thanks for explaining these writings to me, I am a newbie in the vintage-watch world.

I am still looking for someone that could provide some additional info about this Bermi series (if possible).

    Regards,
    Jan

Default Do you still have the watch?

I would really love to buy a BERMI watch. I don't think they are fancy, but for personal reasons, it would be something I'd like to own and have.

If you still have your Grandfather's watch and are interested in selling, please let me know.

    Default Bermi Watch

    Hello !

This is a pretty old thread which you have found...You are lucky that I was able to see your reply !
I indeed still have that watch - hence it's my Grandfathers !
It's not in excellent shape, but I can make some pics for you for easier defining the final price.
In which range would your budget be and how do you plan to pay for it ?

You can contact me directly to janprunk at gmail dot com

    Regards,
    Jan

Think hard before selling a family heirloom. Once it's gone, it will never come back & you may miss it...
