I need to get this set up and on the winder. plan on wearing this on saturday. anybody got the easy way to do this one? heres how it is today, so need to start from this position.

found a pdf for the 7751 so its done. had to set the 24 hour hand 1st then everything else a day before, then advance it to today. dfreemont is a watchmaker here in the usa. he has some pretty nice watches.

not sure about the specifics of the 7751 but sounds like you got 'em!!!

When setting the moon, i usually work from either full moon or no moon and advance the # of clicks necessary to be current.

for instance, tomorrow is no moon, a good day to set from.

also, my moonphase advances in the evening....around 8pm...i want my moonphase to be current at night, so I set it one day early, and when it advances around 8:10 or so, I am current. Not sure what time the 7751 advances.

    Nice d. Freemont!!!

Here are some sites I use for determining the moonphase:

thanks for the links scott. I think mine is set at the correct moonphase now. I did find that a pen is too thick to advance the day on this one so I used a friction pin to set it. a simply stunning watch.

You mean you have to set those things? I thought you just left it outside overnight during a full moon.
Can you help me fix my watch?..Where does this: go inside this?: I guess that's what I get for buying it on eBay!!!

Don't use a pen , if you don't have the proper tool a wooden toothpick works perfect.
If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep the streets even as Michelangelo painted or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, 'Here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.' Martin Luther King

Some great information here by some knowledgeable people; but, I have to ask.......why not ask the AD? For instance, if the IWC is set incorrectly for the moonwatch, it has to be sent back to the factory. Not sure if the same applies here.
