I got this from my Dad at Xmas 2006. He bought it in New Orleans in 1973. I remember as a kid, him wearing it. My Dad wore this for about 4 years, then fell victim to the cheap quartz revolution and never went back. Anyhow, I was home for Xmas and was digging (looting) through his desk when I found it. I instantly remembered it but had no idea of the brand. Upon closer look ... wait ... it can't be. A freakin vintage Heuer. And a big gnarly one at that. I showed it to my Dad as if to say, "why aren't you wearing this?" He just looks at it and said casually, "You like that big ugly thing?" "You can have it." No way ... He shoots, he scores!!!! Anyhow, I fired it up and it ran fine. Several months later I sent it off for a major overhaul, new crystal and pushers, and I've been wearing it regularly since. It keeps time to about + or - 2 seconds a week depending on how anal I get with overnight positioning. Anyhow, for your viewing pleasure ... 1973 Heuer Calculator Chrono. The Queen of my watchbox. BTW, Dad still had the papers and the manual that shows how to use a sliderule.
Thanks for looking - David
