    My Watchbox

    Default Question

My grandmother's round GRUEN Precision wristwatch is about 15mm diameter, has 16 - 17 tiny diamonds around the face and 3 larger ones by each band.
Silver colored triangles mark the hours and by the 6 it says SWISS. On the backit says 14K Gold. The gold colored band is stamped SPEIDEL 10K g.F. USA, Pat.Pend. and a small chain connects both ends. It has been packed away for a long time. Ehere can I find out more about tihs watch? Thank you for your help.

    You can start here...

post a picture...I love the old watches! Hamilton, Gruen, Elgin, Bulova, Benrus...lots of good looking stuff from the 30's-60's in my opinion.

Look around ebay...there are lots for sale.

FYI if it just says 14k or 14k gold that means the case is likely solid 14k gold and not plated or filled. There is some real value in that piece then.
