That Citizen is a very nice looking watch ! Like was discussed, the technology is interesting.
I'm sure not going to try to justify the price of my Rolexes to you, I have enough problem justifying them to my wife.

A very handsome Citizen indeed. I own 3 and are quite happy with them. My own experience with them is that they maintain better accuracy
than their competitor Seiko.

Yeah, I was originally interested in a Seiko Kinetic but I think putting the watch on a windowsill for a few hours or just wearing it in a well lit area is much more convenient than having to shake it a few hundred times to get it going if it ever stops.![]()
All my EcoDrives and solars live on the windowsill (the window is triple pane insulated, of course!)

If you have to ask if a Rolex is worth the price, it probably isn't for you.
As anyone knows, a watch from a Happy Meal keeps excellent time and your cell phone and dozens of other gadgets do, as well.
Most Rolex owners will answer in a heartbeat that a Rolex is worth at least what it cost and probably more. I'm one of those, but it has not always been so.
There are some beautiful and well-made watches on the market that are excellent values.
There are some beautiful and well-made watches that are total rip-offs.
If you can't tell the difference, no one thread on a watch forum will convince you, such that you would know, and in that case, you should definitely spend as little as possible to buy a watch that suits your style and needs, or maybe a couple.

If the automobile had followed the same development cycle as the computer, a Rolls-Royce would today cost $100, get a million miles per gallon, and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.-- Robert X. Cringely

I am new to the idea of collecting watches and was amazed at this forum when i found it. I had no idea...
So, I began considering a Seamaster then I got hung up on a Submariner. Given my small wrist, I wasn't sure I could even wear such a watch. I spent months thinking about my choices. I bought an Invicta 8926 on line as a test watch to see if I could indeed wear a larger sporty watch. It came in the mail 3 days after I ordered it. I took it to my watch shop to have the bracelet fit. While he was working I told him of my wishes for either the Sea... or the Sub.... He immediately stated that I should go with the Seamaster because he felt it was a superior watch for considerably less money than a Sub... He further stated that Rolex was just too difficult to do business with should a repair ever be necessary. He told me of a Sub... he had just finished repairing to the tune of over $2K that took months. I then asked if he had a nice watch. He smiled and said yes, A Rolex Submariner.
There you go.
BTW, I really like the Invicta and wear it every day.
Cheers,
I love the Yach Master 16622 but I'll never ever buy one because of the bracelet. Rolex bracelets feels realy cheap. $10 cheap.
Omega bracelet is far superior, and that's why I got the Planet Ocean cal.9300 instead.
Here's a link to a review JBHII did of the 116610. In it he talks about the bracelet, and even includes photos (when did we know him not to?)
