Default Looking for an automatic watch winder

I recently bought my first mechanical watch and while i really like it, its a little annoying having to rewind it if I go a day without wearing it. I would like a winder with at least two spots since I will probably end up buy another mechanical watch in the future. I was just wondering how much I should be expecting to pay and if there's a particular brand that is popular among the forum. A sales lady showed me one that was $195 or something and that's just too expensive for me.

Consider a winder by ORBITA. They are among the best available, and a favorite here with WTF members who use winders.

As far as prices go, there is no easy answer or "ballpark figure". You can spend thousands, or as little as $50. But from what I've read on the other sites, you'd be lucky if a cheap one lasts half a year! Watch winders are like shoes and knives: you get what you pay for. You can buy inexpensive, but the workmanship is poor and the quality is nonexistent (to put it politely). Spend a little extra and you get parts that last and last. And you do want a winder that will last, right?

Or you could just build up the calluses on your thumb and forefinger like the rest of us and spend that hard-earned $ on another watch.

There are 20+ automatics in my collection and only 4 slots on my winder, of which 3 are in use all the time. They're occupied by the Breitling Chrono Cockpit because the crown is a bit of a pain to operate, the IWC Portofino because it would be a shame to waste accuracy of under 1 second a day, and the Seiko 009 because it's a day/date and I want my beater ready to go instantly. The other winder is in case I choose my watch the night before and set it then. I could live without a winder though.
Can you help me fix my watch?..Where does this: go inside this?: I guess that's what I get for buying it on eBay!!!

I would look into Swiss T Gallery for a watch winder. They sell brands like orbita and berlich. And at a great price too.

    FYI:

I bought a 2-watch winder at Brookstone for about $150 and paid a little more for the extended warranty.

    Cheers

The Brookstone is tough to beat for the money. My have the 4 watch model that's about 2 years old and it still runs like new. You can get the 1 watch model for $100, the 2 watch model for $150, or the 4 watch model for $200.
