Default Beginner looking to step up his game

Hey guys. I've been collecting for about six months now and I have about six invictas ranging from a $150 speedway model to a $300 excursion. I'm looking to upgrade to nicer watches and I was told there were better things to spend a higher dollar for.
I've been getting curious about tritium gas luminescences and found that that Ball was a good candidate (though the ball engineer magnate GMT is a little more then what I want to spend right now). Anyone have any words of recommendations?

Ball makes some very nice watches - check out the Cleveland Express and Trainmaster models. You could also look into Hamilton since they're very popular here. Same with Christopher Ward. Seiko, Orient, and Citizen have a strong fan base also so drop by the Japanese and Asian Forum.
Can you help me fix my watch?..Where does this: go inside this?: I guess that's what I get for buying it on eBay!!!

Lots of stuff to choose from. Browse the forum, specially the daily wrist checks, and other brand and region specific forums, try to narrow down, by that I mean you should try to find the particular type of watches which you think suit you the best. I'm sure GLADIATOR will be in soon with more advice.

    Hi Nosvyr
First a VERY warm welcome to the beginners forum, you are most welcome here.

We have two threads (one started by Valtyr - Help Me Choose my Next watch) and another by Slowpo.
Try looking back over some older threads in beginners. If not,
I will find link (they are in beginners forum) and post them.

    Once again, welcome

I believe the Gas watches will be all $1000+ Ball makes a very cool watch and I really want a Hydrocarbon Engineer in my life. For now, if a price range is in place, scour eBay for Boschett, Debaufre, and Bernhardt (all forum sponsors). It'll give you an opportunity to support our sponsors as well as have a nice watch. I have a Boschett Reef Ranger in yellow that I adore and wear frequently. If you can find a good deal on a Gevril GV2 you're getting so much watch for the money it is unreal.

Those are my best recommendations at the moment.
