: Need help deciding Luminox vs Traser vs Citizen

Hey all, I am trying to decide which is the better watch to choose. I plan to order from amazon since I have credit there and have narrowed it down to the following models:
Luminox 3005 http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41UwXciBwGL._SS500_.jpg
Luminox 0105 Night View http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41Rm8CQW96L._SS500_.jpg
Traser P5900 http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41SbkbaAC2L._SS500_.jpg
Citizen eco-drive BM8180 http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51dliw%2BJ9LL._SL500_AA300_.jpg
I have heard that the painted number on luminox rub off eventually. I really like the tritium lighting on the Luminox and Traser and wonder which has the better lighting. I also like the fact that the citizen is auto, but I do not mind a battery if it is a better watch overall. Any opinions/recommendations greatly appreciated.

Opinions are like #^@ everybody has one, :001_smile: just kidding, heres mine for what its worth, I own two luminox watches. I received one like your first picture as a present about 13 years ago and I abused it terribly and it still works flawlessly. I purchased a nice stainless steel pro diver about 6 years ago and it is a perfect watch. I am really sold on the luminox brand.
Good luck on your choice...

The Citizen pictured is eco drive quartz. It's a sharp watch...so id the Traser....I'm not wild about yellow dialed watches.

I don't know about the yellow dials either but that is just personal preference, as far as the numbers rubbing off ...heres my old one it has wear but as you can see the numbers still look ok for the most part on the bezel and after all these years the tritium still light up the night
Of course you can go for the stainless...

thanks a1, very helpful to know that. I guess I read that the numbers wear off alot quicker on that 0100 night view series while the seal is alot more rugged.. I really like the luminox and citizen but am on a tight budget as you see. This watch is just for everyday/casual wear

I like the first luminox and the citizen. i have been thinking about getting a luminox so i would probably choose that, but it just comes down to which one you like the looks of more. i would like to own a luminox with an army green dial like the color of the citizen's strap if they made one.

Hey, i love that traser, ,, its "incognito" style does impress me .. :001_tt1:
the LUMINOX will looks good when you are wearing t-shirt & jeans ...
but i wl definitely choose the Citizen eco-drive .... its forever.. IMO:thumbup1:

I like both the Traser P5900 and the Citizen Eco-Drive. Not too keen on the yellow dials of the other two. My wife has an Eco-Drive watch and uses it during the day. It gets bashed about quite a lot but after three years abuse it still performs perfectly. I have no personal experience of the Luminox brand.

of the four choices for me it comes down to the citezen and the traser. between those i like the citizen better in every way except the strap. i'm a sucker for it's retro pilot dial.

i'm sure any of them will make you happy, I like my Luminox..

No question. Luminox. I have that version, but not with yellow. I wish I had yellow. Look at the faces, the Luminox has WAY more lume going on. It looks great at night.

I like the Traser. I have identified the Traser Automatic Pro as my next target. Now, I just have to decide between Blue or Green.

I have a very similar Citizen with the same strap, I plan on replacing it once it gets some wear on it. However the strap has grown on me...a bit. Either way I like both the Citizen as well as the Luminox, and if you end up with the Citizen, a different strap is cheap.
